Delete your data

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Vaxnext has no user account and no server of ours. Your family profiles, vaccines and dose dates are written to the app’s private storage on your phone and nowhere else — so deleting them is something you do on the device, in a few seconds, without asking us.

1. Delete everything from inside the app

Open Vaxnext, then Settings → Privacy → “Delete all my local data”. The app asks you to confirm, then removes every profile, every vaccine and every dose date from the phone, along with any export file it had left in its own cache. This cannot be undone.

If you would rather keep a copy first, use Settings → Privacy → “Export my data” on the same screen: it produces a readable JSON file and hands it to the share sheet, so you choose where it goes. We never receive it.

2. Delete a single family member

Open that person’s record, then Delete, and confirm. The name, the date of birth, the tracked vaccines and every dose date are cleared from the phone at once, and the person is gone from the app. The rest of the family is untouched.

One detail, so that the page matches the app exactly: what remains in storage is an empty marker — an identifier and a timestamp, with no name, no date of birth and no dose in it — which is how the app remembers that the entry was deleted. It is left out of “Export my data”, and it disappears for good with “Delete all my local data” (§1) or when you uninstall the app.

3. Uninstall the app

Uninstalling Vaxnext deletes the app’s private storage, and with it every profile and dose you entered.

On Android, Vaxnext switches off Android’s automatic app backup, so there is no copy of your records in your Google account to clean up afterwards. On iPhone, a full device backup made with iCloud or a computer may still contain a copy of the app’s data until that backup is replaced or deleted — that backup is held by Apple, under your control, in your device settings.

4. What we hold about you

Nothing. We operate no server, we have no database, and your health data never reaches us. There is therefore no account to close and no server-side deletion request to make — which is why deletion happens entirely on your device.

The website (vaxnext.com) sets no advertising or analytics cookie and asks for no sign-up.

5. Advertising data held by Google

Vaxnext is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. For those ads, Google acts as an independent controller and holds a device advertising identifier and basic device data — never your vaccination records (see the Privacy Policy, §4). We cannot delete that data for you, because we never hold it.

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier yourself at any time: on Android, Settings → Google → Ads; on iPhone, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Google’s own controls are at myactivity.google.com and adssettings.google.com, and Google’s Privacy Policy explains how to ask Google directly (policies.google.com/privacy).

6. Questions, or something that will not delete

If a deletion fails, or if you want confirmation in writing that we hold nothing about you, write to the contact e-mail in the Legal Notice and we will answer.
